Aurilla Dorsey

Aurilla Dorsey, 78, of Greenfield passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010, at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston. 

Graveside Services:  Saturday, August 28, 2010, at the Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Karen Hoff officiating.  There will be a luncheon following the graveside service at the Fontanelle United Methodist Church.

Memorials:  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.

Aurilla Dorsey, was born on February 21, 1932, in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Victor and Linnea (Norman) Hiserodt.  She passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010, at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston, Iowa, at the age of 78.  

   Aurilla was raised and educated in Algona, Iowa.  She lived most of her adult life in Greenfield.  She enjoyed dancing and flower gardening.  She was a member of T.O.P.S. and the Red Hat Society, which she enjoyed very much.  She had worked for the Greenfield Manor as a nurse’s aid for 14 years.

   She was preceded in death by her parents.

   She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Rote and husband Jon of Rowlett, Texas; special friend, Ivan Miller of Fontanelle; one granddaughter, April Paxton; two great granddaughters, Taylor and Riley Paxton; two sisters, Betty Walden of Colorado and Dorothy Zeigler of Omaha; brother, Don Hiserodt and wife Barbara of Arizona; other relatives and friends.

   Memorials may be directed to the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.
