Don Johnston passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at The Lakeside Village in Panora, Iowa.

Funeral Services: Will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenfield United Methodist Church with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Greenfield United Methodist Church following the burial. The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements. Open Visitation: Will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Greenfield United Methodist Church.

Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Greenfield United Methodist Church.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Don Johnston Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date..

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Verna Johnston of Greenfield; son, Gale Johnston and wife Kally of Greenfield; daughter, Marilea Devereaux and husband Jeff of Ankeny; daughter-in-law, Gwen Johnston of Greenfield; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Lauer and husband Duane and Iona Van Vleet and husband Richard; brother-in-law, Francis Lane and wife Phyllis; other relatives and friends.
