Duane Sickles, 62, of Fontanelle

Duane Eric Sickles "Otis" was born on September 10, 1964, the son of Carl and Evelyn (Ticknor) Sickles at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Iowa. He passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at his home in Fontanelle, Iowa, at the age of 62.

Duane graduated from Bridgewater-Fontanelle High School in 1984. During his lifetime he had many jobs. He was a very social person; he never knew a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Denny, Dale and Donny; and sisters-in-law, Terri and Lisa.

He is survived by his daughter, Lakota Sickles of Fontanelle; brothers, David Sickles (Cindy) of Fontanelle, Doug Sickles of Lewis, Dallas Sickles (Sarah) of Fontanelle and Dean Sickles (Denise) of Fontanelle; sisters, Judy Sickles and Joyce Nelson of Fontanelle; many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews; other relatives and friends.
