Celebration of Life Services: Will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Greenfield United Methodist Church with burial following in the Greenfield Cemetery. Full military graveside services will be conducted by the Greenfield American Legion Head-Endres Post No. 265 and V.F.W. Post No. 5357 and the Air Force Military Honor Guard. A luncheon will follow the burial at the church. Pastor Melinda Stonebraker will officiate the service. The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements. Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield.
Memorials: To the family to be established at a later date.
Frank Lewis Sackett was born March 5, 1931, to Art and Edith Sackett on a farm north of Greenfield, Iowa. He passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Community Care Center in Stuart, Iowa, at the age of 94.
He attended a rural school in Grove township and high school in Greenfield, graduating in 1949. He served 4 years in United States Air Force from April 19,1951 to April 18, 1955. While attending classes at the University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, Frank met Nellie Gay (Redd). They married in Columbus, Mississippi on September 22, 1951, and welcomed four children, Joyce Lavonne, Brenda Gay, Sherry Ann and Kenneth James.
Frank spent most of his life farming. He owned S & S Ford Mercury dealership in Greenfield for a number of years as well. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Greenfield United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, his wife Gay, daughter Joyce and son Kenneth.
He is survived by his daughters, Brenda, (William) Besonen of West Des Moines and Sherry Miller of Blue Springs, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Cathy Sackett of Sedalia, Missouri; grandchildren, Timothy Newton of Lamar, Co, Michael Newton of Adel, Chris (Emily) Newton of Adel, Kelli (Brett) Kasal of Earlham, Dustin (Brooke) Jetmund of Polk City, Nicole Portzen of Garden City, Mo, Tyler Lunceford of Liberty, Mo and Ryan Miller of Blue Springs, Mo., step grandchildren, Jaime (Geraldo) Gudino, Michelle (Zach) Walter and other extended family; great grandchildren, Franco, Antonio, Megan, Mikayla, Matthew, Brittany, Ashton, Kaden, Jase, Jillian, Amyla, Colton, Clayton, McKenzie and step grandchildren, Isabella, Brandon, Faye and other extended family; great great-grandchildren, Amelia and Kayson; and he also enjoyed spending time with his special friend Darlene Ford.

Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery with full military rites by the Greenfield American Legion Head-Endres Post No. 265 and V.F.W. Post No. 5357. A luncheon will follow the burial back at the church.
