Harold Jorgensen

Harold T. Jorgensen, known as Ted was born September 15, 1920 to Christian and Winnie (Matthews) in Cass County, Iowa. He passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield at the age of 92.

Harold spent most of his life on farms in the Bridgewater and Fontanelle area. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. On April 9, 1949 he was united in marriage to Shirley Bower. To this union one son was born, Steven. 

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Shirley of Fontanelle; son, Steven Jorgensen and wife Peggy of Fontanelle; two granddaughters, Charlotte Buhman and husband Craig of St. Joseph, Missouri and Samantha Jorgensen of Woodburn, Iowa; a grandson, Daniel Jorgensen of Fontanelle; two great granddaughters, Chloe Buhman and Brylen Jorgensen; one great grandson, Camden Buhman; other relatives and friends.

Services: There will be no services held.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Harold Jorgensen memorial fund to be established by the family, in care of Steen Funeral Home, 101 S.E. 4th Street, Greenfield, Iowa 50849.
