Ina Hansen, 79, of Greenfield

Ina J. Hansen, 79, of Greenfield, passed away, Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Ina was born in rural Dallas Center, Iowa on September 21, 1942 to Roy and Lucille (Atkins) Gilmer.

Ina was most known for her work at the Adair County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher/jailer for 31 years. After retiring in 2008, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and crocheting afghans for the family. In her final years, she was enjoying taking care of her great-grandchildren and waiting for the arrival of her great-great grandchildren. Family is what mattered most to Ina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lucille (Atkins) Gilmer, her son, Henry C Jetter, husband Arthur K Hansen, daughters, LoisBlacksmith, Barb Hansen and grandson, Matt Carpenter.

Ina is survived by special friend, Dennis Clausen, children; Roxanne Melcher, Gayle Steele, Deanna (Dan) Kloster, Duane Carpenter, Tom (Tina) Handsaker, Candy (Craig) Handsaker, Rodney (Becky) Hansen and Melody (Barry) Mussmann; 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren and many more relatives and friends.
