Jackie Newbury

Celebration of Life Services: Will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Greenfield. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church.  Private family burial will be at the Greenfield Cemetery at a later date.  Pastor Jeff Banks will officiate the service.   

There will be no visitation. 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials are to be directed to the Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Greenfield. 

Jacqueline Ruth Newbury was born July 9, 1938 to Leo and Louise Ellis in Jamaica, IA. She passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, at Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Greenfield, Iowa at the age of 76.

Jackie was raised and grew up in Jamaica. She graduated from Jamaica High School. Soon after she was united in marriage to John Dwayne Newbury on September 1, 1957. Jackie and Jack had 3 children: Randy, Greg and Scott.

Jackie worked most her life as Office Manager at the Greenfield Manor. During her free time she enjoyed golf, playing cards, visiting with family and friends, and attending her kids’ and grandkids’ school and sporting events.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack in 2005; sister, Patty Anderson; and son, Randy Newbury.

She is survived by her son, Greg Newbury of Greenfield, son, Scott Newbury (Brandi) of Waukee; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
