'On the Road Again!'
James Lewis Paullin (Jim, Jimmie) moved on to his best adventure March 20, 2026. He made sure the Hawkeyes won their first March madness game before signing off. He is reunited with wife Zelda, his grandson Dexter, his parents, brother Richard, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Jim lived a full life. Some of his favorite activities were traveling, farming, working, casino runs, time with friends and family, drive abouts, and ...... the Hawkeyes. He was especially fond of close to 40 years of transporting kids to school, sports, music contests, field trips, detasseling, and more. He truly loved interacting with children. Including teasing of course!
He was a good man that gave generously with no expectations of a reward. It was just who he was. Born in April of 1939 in Dexter, Iowa he almost made it to 87 years old. Jim moved his family to Greenfield in 1974 and there he remained until the end. He will be sorely missed.
