Laurel Hopper, 68, of Fontanelle

Laurel Jean Hopper was born on November 24, 1957, the daughter of William Frank and Virgina June (Johnson) Moulis in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at her home in Fontanelle, Iowa, at the age of 68.

Laurel grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, she attended cosmetology school and worked at various locations for a few years. She then received her Certified Nurses Assistant Certification and worked at a long-term care facility in West Salem, Wisconsin for many years. She enjoyed classic t.v., football, coin collecting and especially being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William and John Moulis; and sister, Sheryl Moulis.

She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Gebhart and husband Bret of Fontanelle, Iowa; six grandchildren, Matthew Jagger, Lawrence Foster, Maddie Hale and husband Tony, Audrey Foster, Silas Foster and Mailey Gebhart; other relatives and friends.
