Funeral Services: Will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. A luncheon will be held following services at the cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Keith Schweitzer will officiate the service.   

Visitation: Will be held on Monday one hour prior to services at the church. 

Memorials: To the Immanuel Lutheran Church organ fund in Greenfield. 

Leila (Lee) Ann Winkelmann Danski was born on May 12, 1921, in Grant Township, Guthrie County, Iowa, the daughter of George Christian and Laura Fredericka (Lehse) Winkelmann. She passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston, Iowa, at the age of 92.

Lee received her education in Guthrie County and graduated from Adair High School in 1939. In 1940, she moved with her family to a farm south of Greenfield. On September 25, 1954, she was united in marriage to Joseph Danski in Chicago, Illinois. They lived in Hammond, Indiana and St. Petersburg, Florida. She had worked for Union Carbide in Chicago and at First National Bank in St. Petersburg. Her husband Joseph passed away on October 27, 1979 in St. Petersburg, Florida and shortly thereafter she moved to Greenfield and then into the Greenfield Manor in 2006.

Lee was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and she loved going for a walk. She was baptized unto the Lord on May 14, 1921 and confirmed on April 14, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Danski in 1979; two brothers, Lloyd Winkelmann and one in infancy; three sisters, Mildred Powell, her twin Leora Margaret in infancy and Elaine Kintigh.

She is survived by her nephew, Jim Kintigh and wife Linda of Greenfield; niece, Marcia Shannon and husband Lyle of Washington, Nebraska; other relatives and friends.
