Patricia Joan Bailey was born October 5, 1941, the daughter of Robert and Joyce (Elder) Blankman in Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Old Mill Rehabilitation Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 75.

Pat grew up in Omaha and graduated from Omaha South High School and then went on to attend Capitol School of Hairstyling. On July 7, 1960, she was united in marriage to Art Bailey in Council Bluffs, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Jody, Randy and Marty. After their marriage they farmed for a while in the Papillion area and then moved to Cumberland, Iowa in 1972. She played an important role in their farming operation, an activity she thoroughly enjoyed.

Pat was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church (Reno) and was active in the Altar Society. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, going to her grandchildren’s events and loved spending time with her family. She was quick witted and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Marty.

She is survived by her husband, Art Bailey of Cumberland, daughter, Jody Assman and husband Paul of Denison; son, Randy Bailey of Omaha; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip Blankman and Rick Blankman; sister, Wanita Bednard; other relatives and friends.
