Pauline Clarke, 86, of Stuart

Funeral Services: Will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Greenfield United Methodist Church following the burial. The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements. Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield.

Pauline Irene Clarke was born on June 12, 1938, the daughter of George and Freida (Nodulski) Burrell in a farmhouse in Rippey, Iowa. She passed on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her home in Stuart, Iowa, at the age of 86.

Pauline was raised in Linden, Iowa and graduated from Linden High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Eugene Clarke on December 1, 1956, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Roger, Kendall and Kevin. They lived with Eugene’s parents for five years before purchasing their property north of Stuart. She worked for Des Moines Pipe in the blue printing department and the Guthrie County REC as a meter reader until retirement.

Pauline enjoyed bowling, playing cards especially cheating in golf, watching the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones, gardening in her younger years, helping around the farm and traveling to Reno, Florida, Colorado and Branson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Clarke, son, Roger Clarke, granddaughter, Rosie Clarke and brother, Larry Burrell.

She is survived by her two sons, Kendall Clarke (Kendra) of Urbandale and Kevin Clarke (Angela) of Stuart; six grandchildren, Mandy Monroe (Shane), Nick Tjarks (Jessica), Christina Evermore (Jason), Brandon Siefkin (Angela), Justin Clarke (fiancée Joelle Grubbs) and Lacie Clarke; ten great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Chelsy, Brady and Grant Monroe, Kenton, Kyla and Konnor Tjarks, Lillian Evermore, and Trinity and Taiven Siefkin; sister, Leulla Carney (Ed) of Perry, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
