Raideen was raised in Fontanelle until the age of five when her family moved south of Greenfield to farm for two years. Her parents moved to three other farms until they settled on Marie's grandfather's farm south of Fontanelle. Raideen attended rural schools through the 8th grade. She then attended and graduated from Richland Township consolidated Schools with the class of 1955. After graduation she nannied for Eugene and Marie Westphal until 1957. She then became the nanny for Dr. and Mrs. Baker until 1964.

On August 2, 1964, she was united in marriage to Dean Miner at the Greenfield United Methodist Church. Most of their married life was spent on the farm south of Greenfield where they raised their family.

Raideen enjoyed traveling, watching the birds at her bird feeders (especially cardinals and goldfinches), cross stitching and her puzzle books. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandsons, "adopted" granddaughters and her great grandchildren. She was a member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Miner; brother, Randall Rafter and his wife Judy; parents-in-law, Loy and Zelpha Miner; and great granddaughter, Charlotte Darling.

She is survived by her daughters, Kaydean Darling of Creston and Kathleen Miner of Corning; son, Keith (Anita) Miner of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three grandsons, Andrew Darling of Fontanelle, Anthony Darling of Des Moines and Adam (Chasity) Darling of Waukee; brother-in-law, Gary (Sharon) Miner of Hollister, Missouri; “adopted” family of Chris and Shannon Gilbert and their daughters, Dominique and Ashleigh and also by Elizabeth Cunningham; three precious great grandchildren, Joshaiah Darling, Emery and Rian Darling; other relatives and friends.
