Ronny Lee Zimmerline was born on October 27, 1947, the son of Floyd J. and Dolores (Baier) Zimmerline in Creston, Iowa. He passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of 78.

Ronny lived most of his life on a farm in Adair County with his parents. He attended Adair County schools. On the farm he enjoyed all the livestock and drove a Ford tractor around the farm. Ronny and his parents moved to Greenfield in 1978. After living in town, he mowed several lawns with his John Deere garden tractor.

Ronny was baptized and was a member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church. He and his parents were the first to be baptized and became members of the new church in 1960 by Rev. Don Arthur. On February 10, 1992, he moved to Creston and was under the direction of the Southwest Iowa Residential Facility. He worked at the Innovative Work Shop and later was put on a night-cleaning crew cleaning factories in Creston and Afton. Recently Ronny changed over to Iowa Focus in Creston.

Ronny enjoyed and participated in all activities that were offered: basketball, softball, volleyball, track, bowling and all the holiday dances. He especially liked the Iowa Special Olympics held at Iowa State University in Ames. He was a member of the YMCA in Creston.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Florence Zimmerline.

He is survived by his stepsister, Tamara McCann and husband Robert of Omaha; stepbrother, Bradley S. Murray and wife Stasha of Sarasota, Florida and children Hudson and Starli and several cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
