Tim Garwood, 69, of Dexter

Celebration of Life Services: Will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Dexter with burial in the Dexter Cemetery.  A luncheon will follow the burial at the church. Pastor Lerynne Haynes will officiate the service.  The Lamb Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of the professional arrangements. Family Visitation: The family will greet friends on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the United Methodist Church in Dexter from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Memorials:  To the Tim Garwood Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.

Timothy Lee Garwood was born on April 19, 1954, the son of Warren Lee and Bonnie Lou (Miller) Garwood in Wichita, Kansas.  He passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home in Dexter, Iowa, at the age of 69 after a year long battle of stage 4 cancer.

Tim grew up in Dexter and graduated from Dexfield High School and later Area 4 Community College in Sheldon, Iowa.  On December 7, 1991, he was united in marriage to Patty Cave in the Dexter United Methodist Church.  To this union two daughters were born: Linsey and Kaylee.  He lived most of his life near Dexter.  Tim worked for Stuart Appliance for many years.  He loved playing music on his guitar, enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, fireworks and especially running errands with his daughters on Saturday’s.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Garwood.

He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Garwood of Dexter; wife, Patty Garwood of Dexter; two daughters, Linsey Kreschollek (Steven) of Adel, Iowa and Kaylee Garwood (Chris Fonza) of Ankeny, Iowa; two grandsons, Dawson and Denver Fonza; brother, Tracy Garwood (Kathy) of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister, Teresa Tishim (Jim) of West Des Moines; other relatives and friends.
