Vernon Kading

Vernon Kading passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, at his home in Altoona, Iowa. 

Private Family Services Will Be Held. The Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle is in charge of the professional arrangements.  

Memorials: May be directed to the Vernon Kading Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date. 

Survivors: He is survived by his daughter, Deena Byrd and husband Ron of Donna, Texas; stepdaughter, Lisa Schwabe Geary of Des Moines, Iowa, six other step children and families; 2 grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 19 step great grandchildren; two sisters, Laurel Torres of Cozumel, Mexico and Kay Raper of Bridgewater, Iowa; brother, Blaine Kading and wife Judy of Ft. Myers, Florida; sisters-in-law, Patricia Jahde and Shirley Ballard; other relatives and friends.
