Vincent T. McGinnis, known as Vince or Vinnie to his friends, was born on April 11, 1952, at Adair County Memorial Hospital to Mary F. (Burns) and Theodore L. McGinnis of Stuart, IA. He passed away on 9/20/2026 at his home south Stuart, IA.

Vince graduated from Greenfield High School in 1970. After graduation, he purchased his grandparent's farm south of Stuart, IA, with the intention of farming. Later, he worked at Gus Construction until his retirement. Vince never found the right woman to settle down with, but he “enjoyed the search.” Vince was sometimes known for his stubbornness, but he was always willing to help a friend in need. He loved socializing and was often the life of the party. He loved to go to farm auctions and enjoyed cooking for friends. Vince never knew a stranger and was a friend to all. He cherished his time with his nieces and great-nephews, mainly teaching them about farming, fishing, and driving a tractor. He loved the simple life on his farm.

He is survived by his sister, Alice (McGinnis) Davis, and her husband, Bill, of Greenfield, IA; their son, Austin Davis and wife MaKayla of Red Oak, IA; and their daughter, Angie Davis of Winterset, IA; along with two nieces by sister Janet, Emily (Cave) Brockman and her husband, Ryan, of Ridgecrest, CA and Tracy (Cave) Hogan and husband Kevin of Redfield, IA, sister in-law Diane Caltrider of Stuart, IA; as well as two great-nieces Addison Davis and Tori Clausen four great-nephews Owen Brockman, Justin Brockman, Chase Brockman and Allen Davis. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Howard and Joe McGinnis, and sisters Margaret McGinnis and Janet (McGinnis) Cave.
